liufeng-photo-small.jpg        Feng Liu, born in 1975, is the Dean of the Institute for Digital Brain Research of Chinese Science and Technology. He is also a member of the research group at the Center for Virtual Economy and Data Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the City   Brain Committee of the China Command and Control Society, and holds a PhD in Computer Application and Science from Beijing Jiaotong University. He has been employed as a professor at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and a special researcher at the Center for Virtual Economy and Data Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His primary research areas are artificial intelligence, urban brains, and network science. He has published over 30 papers in related fields, authored 3 monographs, and applied for 5 patents. His book "Internet Evolution Theory" was rated as one of the 100 most important books of the past 20 years in the Chinese internet field. Another work, "The Rise of Super Intelligence", was recommended by the China Book Review Society as one of the best books in China in July 2019.

In 2007, through in-depth research on significant changes in the structure of the internet, he proposed and established the "Internet Brain Model", which has had a profound impact on research related to urban brains, industry brains, emerging frontier technologies, and their interrelationships. Based on Dr.   Feng Liu's foundational research on the urban brain, he led the development of the industry's first "City Brain Construction Standards" (comprising 8 standards) as the head of standards for the China Command and Control Society. Participating entities include prominent technology enterprises and research institutions like China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, Baidu, and iFlytek, among more than 30 others. In the field of artificial intelligence, in 2014, he co-authored a paper “Intelligence Quotient and Intelligence Grade of Artificial Intelligence with Professor   Yong   Shi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to establish a standard intelligence model, formulating AI and human general intelligence testing methods. Since 2018, his achievements have been reported by major global media outlets including CNBC in the US, MIT Technology Review, Japan's Daily News, and Indiatoday in India
